Hi,
Probably well worn ground, this, but im stumped and need some help, if
you could:
I'm trying to write some code for a windows service that needs to run
in the background polling a server for commands. Certain commands
require the service to interact with the application running on the
active desktop, currently just to either shut it down or start it.

On my dev machine (XP/Pro with VS.NET 2003) I have been developing a Windows
Service and installing it on the local machine by opening the Visual Studio
Command Prompt and then executing .
Now I want to test this service on a Windows Server 2003 box that doesn't
have the Visual Studio Command prompt.
How do I go about installing the service on the Windows Server 2003 box?

I need to develop a secure Web Service that requires a username and
password. One of the requirements is that the WS supports Windows
Authentication, meaning accepts the username and password the client used to
log on to Windows. The WS then needs to see which Active Directory roles

I am trying to start a windows application that has a GUI from a Windows
service written in .NET 2.0. I have been searching on this for few days now
with no avail. When using the System.Diagnostic.Process object to start the
application (i.e Notepad), the new app runs and it is listed on the task

I have a test network consisting of four servers running windows 2003 server R2 SP2. I have set up a domain which functioned correctly for about a day and a half until the other servers decided they can no longer connect to the domain controller. Ping resolves the domain controllers name to the correct ip nslookup finds the ip but can not resolve the name.
When I attempt to log on to a machine on the domain it takes around twenty minutes...
