"Specified cast not valid!" Error...

Hello,

In my application, I've to cast DocumentDesigne r class to my own derived
class,MyDocumen tDesigner, in order to reach the protected properties in
DocumentDesigne r class. But everytime I get a "Specified cast not valid!"
error...

MyDocumentDesig ner FDDesigner =
((MyDocumentDes igner)DHost.Get Designer((IComp onent)CForm));

This works if I specify FDDesigner (But as I can't reach to the protected
properties, doesn't work for me) as DocumentDesigne r and MyDocumentDesig ner
doesn't include any extra property, event, etc... itself, just an empty
derived class from DocumentDesigne r...

MyDocumentDesig ner FDDesigner =
((DocumentDesig ner)DHost.GetDe signer((ICompon ent)CForm));

The above code doesn't work neither...

Can anyone help me?

My purpose is to reach to protected properties inside DocumentDesigne r class
so I'm open to any kind of other suggestions?

Thanks in advance...

Özden

Hello: When I try to access a SQL server or a network share from an ASP.Net application that I run on my computer, I run into security problems (for instance, I cannot execute DTS package using Trusted connection or get a file information using FileInfo class). This is probably because my application is running under PETER\ASPNET account, where PETER is my computer's name. I can solve this problem by using Impersonation. However, when...

I am attempting to pass data between two asp.net web forms pages. I have found the method to do this on the msdn site here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/cpguide/html/cpconPassingServerControlValuesBetweenPages.asp After attempting to do this myself, I kept getting an Invalid Cast Exception error, so I finally resorted to simply copying and pasting the MS code in this article into two pages for the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
