font problems

2G
Hi
part 1 installing:

I do the following to install a font
File.Copy(f.Pat h, iPath + "\\" + n, true);

AddFontResource (iPath + "\\" + n);

but is doesn't seem to work completely, the font seems to be installed but
when (already) running photoshop etc. the font is not added, if i reopen
photoshop then the font is available.
Also is my program itself , the InstalledFontCo llection keeps saying that it
is not installed untill i restart my prog. I've read something about
SendMessage but i have no idea how to do this.
part 2 uninstalling:

I guess since installing is done in +-such a manner, then uninstalling will
be
RemoveFontResou rce(iPath + "\\" + n);

File.Delete(iPa th + "\\" + n);

but also problems here, the file stays in my fonts dir and is still
installed ?

Grtz.

Why is there no standardized and well-working way for a web-page to offer the font for download/embed it, in order to be displayed on the page? No matter what you think of the preferred font of a designer, many web-sites offer an image of the text instead to "force" this font -- which certainly can't be the solution (it's a bit of a hassle to maintain and create).

Hi all, Attempting to do css for cross platform/browser compatibility. Have an issue with IE6 sp1 running on NT4. When using IE6 sp1, example 1 works fine, example 2 produces unreadable text. Rectangular blocks and symbols. Is this unreadable serif font deal a known bug? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks,

Sorry if the question is a bit basic. I generally express my font sizes in pixels, originally to handle the Macintosh/Windows font size differences (though I believe that they both now treat points the same way, at least within the browser window). It has been suggested that one should use ems to allow browsers to increase or decrease the text size. However, I have never had trouble with pixels.

Hello, I have been reading a lot about fonts and I got to the following conclusions: 1.Use % do define font size 2. Avoid defining font in Body and P tags 3. Avoid using Verdana I understand the reason of point 1.

OK, so I have a blog. I downloaded the "theme" from somewhere and have edited a few areas to suit my needs. There are different font themes within the page theme. Long story short, my "Text Posts" are supposed to be in the font: Georgia, but they are showing up in "Times New Roman"...blah! I can't find anything wrong in the code, but who am I trying to fool? I know nothing about this stuff. The code is below. The parts that I *think*...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
