DataGrid MultiSelect

Rob
I am attempting to update a number of combo boxes on a form based on the users selection in the data grid
I want the user to be able to select multiple items

Using a separate button I can loop through and get a list of the rows selected like this

CurrencyManager cm = (CurrencyManage r)this.BindingC ontext[dg.DataSource, dg.DataMember];
DataView dv = (DataView)cm.Li st;
for(int i = 0; i < dv.Count; ++i)
{
if(dg.IsSelecte d(i))
}

However trying to do this from an event when the user selects a row in the DataGrid has proven difficult
I have tried to subclass the DataGrid and create an event that fires when the row is changed, but the IsSelected property is not updated for the appropriate rows until after all the events have fired

I have tried OnPaint, ListManager_Pos itionChanged, ListManager_Cur rentChanged, OnCurrentCellCh anged etc...

Does anyone know how to do this without using a separate control??? Or perhaps an alternative solution to updating the other controls on the form without forcing the user to do anything beyond selecting the rows he/she desires

I want to change one field of all selected rows to a provided value. Problem 1 I am using the Binding Manager Base to bind the datagrid to the appropriate dataTable as recommended by KB817247. It works in all cases but one. If the field being changed is also one the user has selected as a sort column, then all but the first selections are missed. If I remove the sort from that column before or after

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone can help me with a really annoying problem I have been having. I made a derived datagrid class that will select the row when a user clicks anywhere on a cell (multi-select without modifier keys). I got that working fine, but I also wanted to keep rows selected after a sort, which I do by storing the row's id in an arraylist. The idea was to do the sort and then go back and re-select the rows with that...

I am trying to decide which of these controls to use to implement letting my user select a full row from MyList. The MyList has several columns which would be nice to sort by at run time. The MyList data is resident in a dataset table. I'm stuck and can't choose either because. If I choose ListView as my control I don't understand how to programmatically get the data from the dataset table

i use the current code to reselect a line of code in my datagrid int currentRow = dgUsers.SelectedRows.Index; dgUsers.Refresh(); dgUsers.Rows.Selected = true; this reselects the line (it turns blue) but the arrow pointing to a row gets reset to row one. also, my datagrid has a scroll bar for up and down, and when i select the last row, then toggle its status, the datagrid is looking at the top rows, even whil the blue selected line is at...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
