Hi!
I have a CheckedListBox, bound to a DataSet using
DisplayMember and ValueMember. I need to have the
ValueMember of all checked items in run time. the only
way to receive ValueMember is through the SelectedValue,
which is not useful in my situation.
what is the best way to have the collection of
ValueMembers, based on the collection of Checked items?
Thanks in advance,
Tonya. 1 5672
Iterate through the SelectedItems instead
int val;
foreach(DataRow View dr in listBox1.Select edItems)
{
val = int.Parse(dr[ listBox1.ValueM ember ]);
MessageBox.Show ( this, "Value = " & val.ToString()) ;
}

Does the CheckedListBox support DisplayMember/ValueMember?
I have been trying to use these properties with the CheckedListBox and they
are not working. I see from Google that databinding is not supported on
this control. Ok, fine. I tried to work around this by using
DictionaryEntries, which still didn't work (see code below). Now I see in
VS Help that DM/VM are not even listed as properties of the CheckedListBox
(they are in VS...

What is the straightforward way to get the checked contents of a
CheckedListBox.
I have a method that is supposed to return the csv string value out of
CheckedItemCollection. But I don't kow how to access the actual values
when iterating through the collection (value can be either
DisplayMember or ValueMember since this CheckedListBox is populated
from a DataSet table)
In the caller method I call the methid supplying it the CheckedItems...

Hi all,
I have a CheckedListBox on one pane of a TabControl on a form. I find that
whenever the user clicks a different tab then comes back, any checks that
were in the list have disappeared.
After a bit of experimenting I have discovered that the problem only occurs
when the CheckedListBox is using a dataset table as the source. If I
manually add items to it's collection using the properties window, it works
fine. If I bind it to a...

In the Listbox, there are properties for DisplayMember and ValueMember, just
like the combobox, however, those properties are not present for the
CheckedListBox.
Does this mean that the only value you can actually reference in a
CheckedListBox is what is actually dispalyed in the item? Is there a way to
list several states (Alabama, Florida, California...) and retreive the
value, somehow (AL, FL, CA...) for database lookup, using a...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
