I would like to know more about Interfacing hardware devices through .NET. We're students and what we're trying to do is control our robots with printer or serial port interfacing... very similar to C++ classic style. Please help us as it could do great wonders for our project.

When trying to add the Microsoft CDO for Exchange Management Library (aka CDOEXM.dll) I receive the following message: "A reference to 'Microsoft CDO for Exchange Management Library' could not be added. Converting the type library to a .Net assembly failed. A depended type library 'CDO' could not be converted to a .NET assembly. A dependent type library 'ADODB' could not be converted to a .NET assembly. Item has already been added." ...

We recently upgraded to Exchange2K3/W2K3 from Exchange2K/W2K, and some of my c# code that I used to access users' contacts using WebDAV has stopped working. I'm getting a 401 unauthorized error. Hopefully, I can explain this adequately. Prior to the upgrade the following code was working properly. FYI: The site was running in the context of the domain administrator, and was also using the Administrator account to create a CredentialCache...

Exchange Rates Source file: Exchange.cs Input file: Exchange.in Output file: Exchange.out Using money to pay for goods and services usually makes life easier, but sometimes people prefer to trade items directly without any money changing hands. In order to ensure a consistent "price", traders set an exchange rate between items. The exchange rate between two items A and B is expressed as two positive integers m and n, and says that m of...

I have a 2003 server. A server 2008 with exchange and several laptops with vista business, windows 7 and xp. I use an EMR(i am a doc) that appears to be an addon for MS word. The backend is SQL express but with the transfer of the DB to the 2008 server I am considering upgrading to standard so that others can use Merge replication to sync to the database. I am able to create a new dB with a SQL in SQL express with a query given to me by...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
