I have no idea if this is more a PHP question or Javascript question,
because my problem hinges equally on both.
I have a PHP script that queries a database and creates a list of rows
for each item, each with their own checkbox one can select to do stuff
later. The PHP script this form posts to creates an array of all the
selected checkboxes and does stuff.
But, on the form, I want to be able to have the checkboxes auto-check
when...

My current project requires me to create part of a form that is
created on the fly. The project consists a list of entries to an
event. The name and address and such is easy. The design is detup so
that the creater of the even can make their own event in the database.
When they do so a 2 tables are created. One for the entries such as
names and the other is for the parameters of each event.
The creator then goes in and makes each event...

Can you make a check box very big? It seems like when you drag it
bigger the little check is still the same size.
Thank you,

I have a problem canceling a check box update when placing a check in
it. Checkbox is not bound.
Here is what happens.
User clicks a check box. In the BeforeUpdate method of the control, if
the check box is being checked, some validation is performed. If the
validation fails, I set cancel to true, and the check box is not
checked afterwards. This is fine.

What is the best way to check whether the page is simply a postback or the
form has been submit with the intention of doing something?
In the olden days, I used to check for a form field name used for the submit
button:
<input type="submit" name="saverecord" value="push me to save">
Then I'd retrieve it using something like:

I tried to use the following example, to add a checkbox column to a
DataGrid in an ASP.NET application:
http://www.codeproject.com/aspnet/datagridcheckbox.asp
For some reason, I simply CAN'T get the example to work. I created the
following two classes, provided with the example:
*-*-**-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-**-*-*-*-*-CheckBoxColumn
Class:-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-**-*-*-*-*-**-*-*-*

Hi
Can't believe I've not been able to find the answer to this in the on-line
help.
I have a CheckedListBox which, via a timer control, is populated with the
names of files in a network folder. The "check mark" for each item in the
control is determined by the boolean value of a custom property field of the
file. That value is found using microsoft's dsofile.dll class.

Hi
I'm new to ASP.NET (from classic ASP) and wasn't aware of the Forms Authentication security when I started working on a website. So I built a login page that stores a CustomUser object in the Session, and then I put a login check in the Master Page codebehind, Page_Load event, which redirects to the Login.aspx if the login check fails.
I realise NOW that I should have gone th Forms Authentication (using web.config) route, but I dont...

I want to add the security question and answer security feature to the
ChangePassword control. I am aware that this functionality is built into the
PasswordRecovery tool. I have implemented the PasswordRecovery with a
Password reset required; a temporary password is sent to the account on
file. I want an extra layer of security to accommodate the very unlikely
contingency that someone's e-mail account is compromised. Challenging with
the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
