I have a folder containing many subfolders (and subfolders and....) all containing various .cs files. Is there any "easy" way to
get them all added to the solution. Preferable would be that the folders are actually created in the Solution Explorer so that I
can find things easily.
Its easy to select multiple files out of a single folder, but not recursively into subfolders.
Any ideas?

I want to be able to retrieve the folder of the current project at design
time, from one of my designers. I can't see an easy way to do it.
Currently I'm using Site.GetService to retrieve a EnvDTE.ProjectItem, and
then getting the ContainingProject.FileName to figure out the path. But I
really don't want to rely on EnvDTE being present.
Anyone got an easier solution?

I'm not one to rant or flame....so please excuse me while I do so for this
once. I've now spent a bit of time working with VS2005 beta 2 to see how it
functions for web development, especially how our current extensive number
of .Net 1.1 web apps convert to it. After a week's time I dont's mind the
converted app code that was broken and had to be changed, due to
deprecation, new framework classes (some of which have names identical to...

Hi, A new baby question:
I downloaded a dot net project and saved it to my local disk. When I tried
to open this project, a message popped up:
"Unable to open web project "test/myfirstweb"/ The file path
"D:\dnet\webproj\myfirstweb\home" does not correspond to the URL
'http://localhost:/test/myfirstweb'. The two need to map to the same server
location.
HTTP Error 404:Object not found".

What's the preferred (best) way to start a website project in VS 2005? I
know of 2 ways and each creates a site differently and has different
behavior.
Open VS 2005
1) from the start page click on Create, then select asp.net web
application. This creates a properties folder and references folder in
solution explorer.
2) go to the File menu and select New/Website. this just creates the

Again, I'm new to VB.net and there is something I need help with:
Like (I assume) many of us, over time I want to be able to create some
VB.net classes that I might want to use in more than one Project. So
let's say I've created a Folder called "MyVBNet Classes" to hold these
general-use VB.Net class files that I will eventually associate with
various Projects I create. Now let's imagine I've created a class
called "MyClass.vb" that...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
