Title: What are the Consequences of Aspx page separate from app DLL
Hi JL;
I am working on a big asp.net application.
When we migrate the dll (or dlls) to the production server, all users
who are login into the application are pumped off. In fact we must
close down the server (to preserve users from being logged on and
thinking they are updating data when it is in fact lost when we move
the dlls to the the applications bin directory)....

I am using Fritz Onion's "Asynchronous Pages" approach as mentioned in
the article http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/03/06/Threading/default.aspx
to increase the performance of my ASPX page.I am using the Custom
thread pool as given in the article's sample.
Implementation:

In AsyncPage.aspx I inhereted AsyncPage class instead of

I have an aspx page: Main.aspx which has several components that cause
a postback. In the page Main.aspx I also have an iframe which contains
a multi-page pdf file.
The problem I am facing is that whenever the user does an action which
causes a postback on the main page Main.aspx, the page posts back and
the pdf file in the iframe is reloaded. This is a problem becuase if
the user has rotated or magnified the page then that is lost.

I have an index.aspx page which includes top.aspx,
left.aspx, main.aspx and bottom.aspx.
In the left.aspx, there is a login web control -
login.ascx. It keeps session of username and role after
successful login and shows welcome user message and his
shopping cart link.

I know this has probably been asked before, but I can't seem to find a solid
answer in any of the archives. First, before my question, please forgive my
limited knowledge of the event lifecycle and page loading/rendering
lifecycle....
Ok, now for the question:
I have an ASPX page (page.aspx), and I have a UserControl (control.ascx).
The UserControl has one textbox on the control, and one button control.
I have added a public property...

Hello All:
I have an ASPX A.ASPX where I am displaying realtime data using embedded
ASPX page B.ASPX. When I go to next page/previous page from A.ASPX page, I
am able to go to next/previous page but when I try to perform any action on
next/previous page, it gives me an internet explorer error. I have added a
function 'onunload' on clientside in A.ASPX. I never see that onunload
function is getting called when A.ASPX is switched to next...

Hi,
I have an aspx page that has the "include" code in it which includes another
page that displays information. I also have an upload page that allows users
to upload a simple html document onto the server. The include code calls that
html page to display the text on that page. The problem is when the user
uploads that html page, the aspx page does not refresh to reflect those
changes, even if the user hits refresh in their browse....

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
