Hi All,
For the past few months I have been working on an open source
Apache/PHP/MySQL content management system - and have recently made it
available for download.
It's still very much a work in progress (current release version is
0.4.6), but you should get a very good idea of what it's about by
visiting the site (which uses it, funnily enough), or downloading a
copy of it and trying it out.

I'm new to VB.NET programming and would like some help on a little project
I've got going.
How would I go about getting computer information on my local computer, i.e.
serial number, hard drive size, memory installed, etc. Then take it one step
further and gather this info for all computers on a network.

I fail some time to drop the database getting messages that it's
currently in use.
Using the wizard to delete the database, i could check the option to

Thank you in advance for any and all assistance. I'm building a technician's
tool and I'm trying to create a Jump Panel of buttons to the Windows System32
folder to open files programmatically. I have the majority of the program
files opening except the Microsoft Computer Management console.
I've tried in the button click event
Shell("C:\WINDOWS\system32\compmgmt.msc")
and nothing happens. No open program, no errors nothing.

I've just had a colleague ask me this one: is it possible to close
files opened (and left open) by another app, programatically? I know
it must be possible because NET FILE can do it as can Computer
Management.
I can't find an obvious place to start in .NET - is there one? I came
to .NET via scripting and haven't ever done Win32 stuff. Can anyone
point me towards a place to start?

Hi,
I have an app which creates batch files to transfer stuff around a network. As part of the batch files they disconnect the networked M:\ drive. Unfortunately if a WIndows Explorer/My Computer window is open showing the M:\ drive then the batch file bombs out (can't disconnect network drive while in use) and the VBA gets stuck in an endless loop waiting for the batch file to announce that it has finished.
