HTML upload a file

Hello,

How do I upload a disk file using HTML?
For example, many job boards allow you to upload
your resume to their site.

Thanks,
Jacques

Hi Jacques,

Thanks for posting in this group.
The Type=File html attribute for input tag only provide you the client side
support for uploading files.
In server side, you still must perform support for the uploading.
In asp.net, it is easy to handle this in server side, the link below
teaches you how to hanlde this in C#:

Hope this helps,

Hi, We face problems uploading excel (with macros) documents using HTML File Upload. The file contents are corrupted while viewing the same. However, we are able to upload excel (w/o. macros) documents successfully. Is there anything we have to take care of, while handling uploads of excel documents with macros? Thanks in advance,

Hello, I am new to JS and am trying to add some HTML into a JS function. So that when called the script as well as the HTML will be invoked. Is there some type of embed mechanism, sort of the reverse of embedding JS in an html page with the script tag. (which is what I am doing in this case) Is this even possible?

In asp.net/c#, it's easy to implement Upload file to web server, just use Request.Files or Request.InputStream & runat=server form and type=file input controls. But now, it's a problem for me how to invoke a .aspx code to upload file from a outer html file or c/s application. I want to upload file by my small vb6.0 program using MS Winsock Control, just invoke web server side file "UploadFile.aspx". So firstly, I used the following...

I’m trying to upload a file to a Web Service. I have to submit the file using a standard HTML form with the <input type=“file” /tag. Ultimately, we are submitting the file from a Flash 8 application that uses Macromedia’s flash.net.FileReference class. The FileReference class behaves like a standard HTML form with the file input tag. I know there are other options for submitting files through Web Services, but we’re not able...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
