How to Maximize a form

I am currently hiding a form until a key is pressed (I am
using the command "this.Hide( );" to hide the form). When
that key is pressed, I am once again showing this form,
with the command "container.Show ();". My problem is that
when I do this, it always brings up the form in a
minimized state, causing the user to have to click on it
at the bottom in the task bar. I need to have that form
open as normal, or maximized. I tried using the
command "container.Wind owState =
FormWindowState .Maximized;" but that just isn't doing it
for me. Can anyone help. I am sure it is stupidly
simple, but I just can't get it to work.
Thanks

You said the command "this.Hide( )" to hide the form , and using
"container.Show " to show the form , why not using "this.Show" .

Please try :
this.windowStat e = FormWindowState .maximized;
this.Show() ;
this.Active() ;

Hi My users are going to toggle back and forth between DataSheet and Form view. This eliminates the need for a pile of queries <g> Anyway, I would like my form to be viewed at the current size (I had removed the min max buttons). But when in Datasheet view I would like it to maximize. If I maximize the view while in DataSheet then when the user toggles to Form it stays maximized and looks ugly. Is there any code along the lines of

Hi, I have an Access 2000 database with one main form in which all subforms are embedded. In this form I have a timer which closes the form, detaches the linked (ODBC) tables and reopens the same form with a login dialog (initiated in onOpen). When I open the application the form maximizes (as it should). But when the code reopens the form, the form is not maximized. I have DoCmd.Maximize in onOpen,onLoad,onActivate. What else can I try...

Hi Everyone! I have a form that opens from a another form set as a dialog box via a command button. I have tried about everything I can think of to make this form maximize when it opens. I've used the dcmd.maximize in the "on open" and "on load" event procedures of the form. Also tried using it in the code of the command button that opens the form. Nothing seems to force this pesky thing to maximize. What am I doing wrong? Here's the...

Hello, I have a WinForms app (VS.NET 2005 + SP1) where the FormBorderStyle of the main form is set to FixedDialog. I've added a NotifyIcon, so have set the form's MinimizeBox property to true; This enables the form's minimize button, obviously, and the NotifyIcon stuff is working.

I give my user a button to change the properties of the size property of maximize screen size. How can I programmatically cause the maximize screen function to happen after changing the property so the new max screen property will be realized? Right now I have to tell the user to unmaximize the screen and remaximize the screen to have the property take effect. :o( Thanks! Bob

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
