Hi
Can you please help with some info on how to open
existing word documents / merge two word documents from a
C# program ?
My user will select 2 or many word docs and i have to
create a c# exe which add all word docs to one word
document.
Thanks in Advance

Hi Maheshwari,

You can use the Application.Doc uments.Open(".. your doc path..");
to open an existing word document.
The link below contains details on most of the
things that ou need to tacke the MS word object model

http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/of...brary/en-us/od

Is it possible to use this same approach for MS-Word 2000/XP or this is
available only for Word 2003...?

Thanks,
Bill

I have a fairly ambitious client who would like to offload the management of intranet content to other individuals in the organization. For the project to be successful, the data management must be as painless as possible. Accordingly, the ideal interface for data input is Microsoft Word, as most users are extremely comfortable working with it. I would like to be able to create word templates/forms which are dynamically populated with...

I got a word document as a stream, and I want to get the text from the word document. But I cant seem to find anything to use for that purpose. The "Microsoft office ?.object" com reference, only include functionality to read from a file (as far as I know). I looked a little on the structure of the document, but it doesnt seem to have any common structures, especially not if you compare from different office versions.

If one is developing a .NET application, how can I develop an application that uses COM automation that targets multiple versions of Word? For example, the signature for the Document.Open method is different from version 9 to version 11 (and I'm sure there are other variations as well), and I'm wondering if there's some easy way to deal with it. At present I'm only concerned with supporting 9-11 (i.e. Word 2000, XP, and 2003), though I'd...

Hi, I have a VB.Net application that I have recently upgraded from Visual Studio 2003 to Visual Studio 2005. The VB.Net app accesses Word and Excel. When I run the newly compiled VB.Net app on the Windows XP Pro system the app can interact with Word and Excel just fine. I'm pretty certain I have the correct Microsoft Word 11.0 Object Library and Microsoft Excel 11.0 Object Library references. All of my library references have Local Copy...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
