I just started working with C#.
I have a combobox where upon selecting a product a grid is displayed in the
form with a bunch of data. When selecting another product, I get an
exception because the datagrid is not empty.
How do I empty a Datagrid.
Thanks, Imad. 1 4583
Imad, what you need to do is use databinding in the form, and let the
data binding automatically show each product's data from the combo.
This is what's called a "Master-detail" view, in which the "master" is
a product in the combo, and a "detail" for each product is displayed
in the datagrid.
THere are a lot of ways to do this, but here's an article that will
get you started: http://weblogs.asp.net/rosherove/story/9088.aspx
(Lesson 4 explains how to make a combo box act as a "master")
good luck.

In my Win App, I have a datagrid that's bound to a dataset. When the form
loads, the datagrid fills. How can I add an empty row to the end of the
datagrid during a button click (similar to pressing Tab when mouse pointer
is on last field of last record of datagrid)? The datagrid's read-only so
the user won't be able to modify it unless he wants to add a new record via
the datagrid (by adding the empty row).
Also, if I modify the...

Hi - I have a datagrid that has a black header and the rows alternate
white and gray. The problem is that until items are added to the grid,
the grid appears as a large black rectangle, which is quite ugly. The
black area is larger then it is once an item is added. How can I solve
this problem either by:
A) Having only the header black and the rest of the empty block white or
gray (preffered solution)
B) Having the color gray or white...

Hi
I have a column in my datagrid that can have values of null at times. I am not assigning any value to it, if it is coming from Database empty. Now, the problem is I guess the datetime variables have a default value. Thus shows an undesirable value of 1/1/0001
How do I go about not showing anything when the value is null like this
Thanks in advance

Hi!
I am developing a web project using ASP.NET and VB.NET as code behind. In
one page the user attaches files to the list. The same data is shown in the
and the max records visible is 4. Now the problem is I need to show 4 empty
rows in the datagrid before binding the datagrid to the datasource.
Can anyone help in this regard.
Thanks in advance,

Hi guys,
I need to use a one row datagrid in my asp.net 1.1 application. The data
source will contain 1 or 0 entries. When no rows of data are present I want
to show an empty row in the datagrid (ie. with empty cells). Unfortunatly I
get no datagrid shown instead. Any idea how I can force the datagrid to show
with an empty row?
Best regards,

Greetings.
I have a serious problem. I have multiple sets of tables, several of
which are chained more than two tables deep. That is, I have a parent, a
child, and a great-grandchild table.
Currently, I am allowing the parent to be edited by itself. In order to
get to a child table, a user needs to select a specific parent table ID.
I have set this up using panels, and putting a drop-down list in the
first panel, with its contents...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
