Hi Everyone
Thanks for your replies and thanks to everyone for making such an
interesting discussion.
After working very hard to get my Computer Science degree and
investing my own hard earnt money heavily in MSDN subscriptions and
programming books etc just to keep my skills up to date, I began to
wonder if it had all been worthwhile now that the forthcoming ASP.Net

Great book - I like the way that unlike other books, AC++ explains as
much as possible about every piece of code discussed, so I'm not left
thinking, "well...OK... I get line 12, but I wonder what the rest of
it means...".

I've read in a couple of different places including the archives of this
forum that html doesn't allow you to precisely dictate the position of an
image, but I found this command (again in the archives of this forum) that
apparently allows you to do exactly that.

Hi all,
This might be one of those things for which there is no workaround. I'm
using A2K2, and using it to perform a very large batch ouput. Both the front
and back ends are MDB files, so no SQL Server involved here. Both SP3 and
Jet SP8 have been updated, and the platform is running on a dual-processor
3Ghz Xeon Win2K3 Server box with 2GB RAM.
The batch run outputs 6 or 7 reports to approximately 16-17,000 snapshot

1. strlen returns an unsigned (size_t) quantity. Why is an unsigned
value more approprate than a signed value? Why is unsighned value less
appropriate?
2. Would there be any advantage in having strcat and strcpy return a

In this group there is a bunch of people that call themselves 'regulars'
that insist in something called "portability".
Portability for them means the least common denominator.
Write your code so that it will compile in all old and broken
compilers, preferably in such a fashion that it can be moved with no
effort from the embedded system in the coffe machine to the 64 bit
processor in your desktop.
