Hi Everyone
This is a data base question so don't switch off thinking it is a Data
Protection Act Question.
I'm Looking for some general information regarding the UK Law on
rights to access data within a database provided by a third party
software provider.
They are preventing me from ODBC Access to their data base and say

As a matter of academic interest only, is there a way to programmatically
list the 'c' data types? I am not looking for detail, just if it is
possible, and what function could be used to accomplish it. For example:
int main void()
{
while there are more data types
{
print next data type;
}

Hi,
I have a question about how to put redundant information in data
structures, initialized at compile time. This is often necessary
for performance reasons and can't be done at run time (data
structures are read only)
Ideally one should be able to put the redundant
information there automatically so no mistakes are possible, but in a lot
of case I see no way how to do it.

looking for the best option. And after several test I am pretty confused. So
I will be grateful if anyone can help me.

The scenario is like this :

What would give better performance, serializing a multidimensional array
and storing it in a single entry in a table or storing each element of
the array in a separate table and associating the entries with the entry
in the other table?
Having a separate table would result in two queries instead of one, but
you wouldn't have to deal with the overhead of serializing and
unserializing data.

Hello folks,
I got a few question on some basic data structure stuff. Sorry if
those questions might sound too easy or such but after googling a lot
I didn't find a real answer to all those questions so appreciate any
help.
I need to keep a very efficient data-tree structure (parent, previous,
next, first child, last child) within the memory which can be filled
up with billions of records. A struct place into the tree (I am using

Problem:
- You have tree structure (XML-like) that you don't want to create
100% in memory, because it just takes too long (for instance, you need
a http request to request the information from a slow distant site).
- But you want to be able to request data from it, such has "give me
all nodes that are under a "//foo/bar" tree, and have a child with an
"baz" attribute of value "zzz".
Question :

Hi everyone:
i read from the documentation of a dll that there is a struct that uses
char for storing an IP address. How can it be? and how come i can get to
representate the same value in a string VB.NET data type, knowing that this
is its equivalence (for char4)?
Next is the data type definition
'''unsigned char

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
