Copy/Paste in form editor

Hi!

To spare to make always the same settings in the attributes
of the controls I usually make them once for each type of
element (button, list, web browser, ...) and then use copy
and paste.

But it's a bit annoying that the copy is always placed
near the center of a panel rather than on the same position.
For example this would be pretty useful to place a cancel
button on different panels but always on the same location.

Additionally I'd like to have the copy not named just
button1, listView1, ... but to original name (of course
with the counter added). So it would be easier to change
the names afterwards.

Is it possible to change this behaviour somewhere in
Visual Studio, or do I have to accept it?

Ciao and bye,
(:Clemens:)

Hi all, I am trying to copy a form that is in one frame, using a button on another frame. The form has a couple of tables inside it. I can get it working when the button is in the same frame, but not in different ones. I get an "invalid argument" error on the controlRange.addElement(x) line. What I have so far is: <script language='javascript'>

I want to mark certain text on a web page in InternetExplorer and then copy and paste it into a normal text editor. With the copied text not only the pure text should be transferred but also the HTML code (e.g. <P>,<HL>,<TABLE>,CSS styles,...). Is there such a tool? No, I don't want to open the source code of the webpage through the menu view->source because searching the actual desired source part is sometimes terrible. I want a...

This may not be the right forum, but it's a problem I chiefly come across when trying to post here. When I do a copy/paste from VS, the text always looks really weird (and even if I'm in an editor that's supposed to be doing plain text, it looks like it's in a different font -- and of course you can't change the font in a plain text editor.) Then when it gets converted to actual plain text, there is a blank line stuck in between every...

Hello All, I¡¯m using a context menu associated with some pictureboxes to provide copy/paste functionality. Copying the image to the clipboard was easy. But pasting an image from the clipboard is proving to be more difficult. These pictureboxes are bound to an AccessDB. If the user wants to add an image, they select an image using an OpenFileDialog: Dim result As DialogResult = Pic_Sel.ShowDialog() If (result = DialogResult.OK) Then

I'm implementing my own, custom, internationalized text editor. I'm trying to implement copy/paste right now. Which cause me some trouble. I'm using .NET 2.0 beta 2 (I have ordered and I'm waiting for VS Standart edition to upgrade). Basically I have some simple code like that: =============== public void SelectionCopy() { Document doc = GetSelection();

If I create a form and add add a bunch of controls and code, etc to it, I can see that Visual Studio adds all of the requisite "creation" code behind the form. If I wanted to create a 2nd copy of the exact form, how would I go about that? Could I just copy the code from the first form, including the Windows-generated code, and paste it in the code-behind of the 2nd form? I see that there is a warning not to modify the code-behind using...

Hi, I have been successful copying a vba code from one of your posts on how to copy and paste a record by declaring the desired fields that needs to be copied in form's declaration and creating two button "copy" and "paste". Works like magic. My problem is how can I copy multiple records and paste them at the same time. My data entry form has main form that has a Questionlist box of Questions. The second list box on the same form displays...

Hi, Is it possible (w/o generating a gazillion errors) to copy a form in VS 2005 so that it can be modified and reused. In other words, I have a form, alot of which I wish to use in a different form. An no, I don't want to inherit it. I just want to steal the layout and add and remove a few other pieces. Any easy way to do this? -- Terry

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
