How would I add a variable that I will assign to a list of $_POST
variables that I extract from a form?
My form passes a value for $q. That works fine. What I want to do is run
an if/else on it and assign a new variable based on what was chosen such as
if ($q == "red") {
$q = "tp"; //change $q to this value
$sub = "ak"; //attach this value to the $sub variable
} else {

This is a repost form the vbscript newgroup - if this isn't the appropriate
group would you point me toward one that is.
Basically, I seem to be losing session data part way though preparing an
email from (possibly) three seperate forms.
the following code is the end of a routine which stashes data from the first
form
off to session variables and then redirects itself to the proper form /
procedure depending upon the state of two...

BACKGROUND
----------
I have an ASP.NET application having two panels. In one panel, an XML
document, transformed using xsl, is displayed. In the other panel are some
controls that allow a user to change the xml. For example, each "l_item"
element appears as a row in a table labelled with a "label"; so if I have
<l_item id="1">
<label>blah</label>

I have a database project that I created with several forms and
reports. I would like to be able to declare a single title and be
able to change the title on all the forms and reports by changing a
single variable. I think this is possible, however I don't know
Visual Basic very well. I created a module named DBcommon with the
following statements in it:
Option Compare Database
Global Const DBname As String = "Title String"

Hi,
I think I might have just invented the variable bit cpu :)
It works simply like this:
Each "data bit" has a "meta data bit".
The meta data bit describes if the bit is the ending bit of a possibly large
structure/field.

Hello,
I am using Visual Web Developer and decared a Public Variable in the Class
section. I assigned a value in the load section, and on a button I set it
up to increment, but it always delivers the same value, 1. When I increment
the variable from the button, shouldn't it hold the new value? I also
tried declaring the variable as a Friend, but it wasn't any more friendly.
;)

I am new to C# and to structs so this could be easy or just not
possible.
I have a struct defined called Branch
If I use Branch myBranch = new Branch(i); // everything works
If I use Branch (myBranch + x) = new Branch(i); // it doesn't
x is a loop iterator, i is an int for the constructor to define an
array.
What am I doing wrong here.

Hi,
When I pass a pointer as an argument of a method, is it safe if I
change the data pointed by the argument and return it upon
completion ?
For example:
Object* someFunction(Object* ob)

When I control if I print messages, I usually use a global variable
"int silent". When I set "-silent" flag in my command line
parameters, I set silent = 1 in my main.c.
I have many functions that may print some messages.
foo(...)
{
if (!silent)

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
