I'm running Windows/Outlook XP with mail routed through POP3/SMTP university servers. Abruptly, I am no longer able to send mail, though receiving works fine. I get an error message saying that Outlook couldn't connect with the outgoing server. No account settings have changed (I've checked) and I can still telnet to the SMTP server (but not through port 25)and send mail through a web-based university system. I do not have any Norton...

I need to have some .Net code be able to send Email using my ISP's SMTP
server. I found some articles on how to use the MAIL FROM: and RCPT TO:
commands that you can stream to a tcp connection on port 25 of the mail
server.
Works nice, but I can only send Emails to addresses on the same domain
as mine (I'm me@myhost.net. I can send to you@myhost.net, but not
myfriend@someotherprovider.com). I get a code back from the RCPT TO:
command of...

I am tired of sending mail from the built-in SMTP service for so many
reasons (errors are nondescriptive in the event log, it doesn't let me
control which IP address it sends from, and it identifies itself as the
computer name which is not in domain.com format, triggering spam filter
problems).
Instead, I want to have my code send through an SMTP server of a company
that we pay for mail service. But they require a username and password....

I find that the existing email moudle is some hard for me to
understand, especially the part of how to set the CC, BCC and attach
the files. Is there any more easy one like this p-code?
import easyemail
smtpserver=easyemail.server('something')
smtpserver.login('usr@gmail.com', pwd)
newletter=smtpsever.letter(smtpserver)
newletter.sendto=

Hello everyone,
I am using Apache 1.3.33 as the web server and PHP version 4.3.10. My
machine is using Windows XP 2002 professional edition which comes with
a Windows firewall. I am using McAfee free edition for anti-virus.
I use an ISP provider from my country and according to them I do not
need to perform authentication while sending mails through their SMTP
address. Thus I am using external SMTP server. I don't have IIS
installed...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
