INTRODUCTION
One of the most powerful aspects of .NET and Windows Forms is data
binding. Data binding is the process of associating user interface
(UI) elements with a data source to generate a visual representation
of data. Two types of data binding are available for Windows Forms:
Simple Data Binding and Complex Data Binding.
Simple data binding allows you to bind one data element to a control.
In many situations you want to display...

Hi .. I have an issue I have been beating my head against
the wall on for some time. I am trying to use late
binding for MS graph so that my end users don't have to
worry about having the right version of the MS Graph type
library. Up until now I have been walking them through
the process of setting the references to include their
version of MS Graph library.
My problem is that I can not seem to get the syntax
correct .. or perhaps...

I am writing an ASP.NET web application and I control all the tiers. I need
to return all results from the Web Service mid-tier as XML so other people
can use our business objects in the future if they so desire.
My dilemma is this:

I have an ASP.NET 2.0 page with two DropDownLists. I am using declarative
data binding wherever possible and trying to minimize the use of code. The
list of values in DropDownList DDL2 should be (filtered) dependent upon the
selection in DDL1. I think this inevitably needs some code, but I'd be happy
to be told otherwise!
I have some code to handle OnSelectedIndexChanged for DDL1 that sets the
FilterExpression associated with the...

I have a question about simple binding:
(please forgive any syntax errors... I am at home, where I do not have
Vb.Net installed, and I rely far too much on Vb's intellisense!)
If I have two textboxes, Textbox1 and Textbox2, and add a databinding to
Textbox2 as such:
Textbox2.Databindings.Add("Text",Textbox1,"Text")
Anything typed into Textbox1 is mirrored in Textbox2.

I have looked and searched. What good is the databind property on
Radiobuttons? How does one go about actually using it? What is a good
resource on this? I understand that I can easily get/set the information I
need programmatically, but what about the databind property I just don't
understand it's value.

Let's suppose I have an instance of MyClass, which has the properties
MyText1 and MyText2, and sets the values of MyText1 and MyText2 to 'A'
and 'B' in it's constructor.
Let's also suppose I have a Form with textBox1, textBox2, btnShowValue,
and btnNew.
Let's also suppose I have this code.

I'm adding password encryption to the Employees form. I have a
strongly-typed dataset being used as the datasource for the
EmployeesBindingSource, and the Employees table set as the datamember. All
controls on the form are bound to the EmployeesBindingSource. Except for the
password ...
I set up separate handlers for the Password and bind this control manually
when I New() the form:
Private Sub BindPasswordControl()

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
