Hi, I am having problem to scroll only a partion of a window using the
ScrollWindowEx api function. The code is below and any help is pleased.
Thanks in advance.

// This works
ScrollWindowEx( Handle, 0, 30, Rectangle.Empty , Rectangle.Empty , IntPtr.Zero,
out rt, 0);

// This doesn't work

Hi I wonder if anyone tried this or know if it has been fixed. I am using vs .net 1.1 and have a windows form. In the form I have a DataGrid with the following format: 3 first Columns are of type text box and 5 last columns are of type checkbox(bool) I added some rows info. When the RowHeadersVisible = false here is the problem I see: When launching the application make sure to size down the window so that the

I want to force a window to scroll and am finding this to be an impossibly difficult task. First I tried using the API functions ScrollWindow and ScrollWindowEx but they do not work. The portion that is being exposed in the scroll is not painting properly even though I've passed it the flags to tell it to invalidate and erase the new area's background. Then when I force the window to redraw by covering the window with another app the window...

Hi, Is anyone able to give me an example on how to scroll the contents of a ListBox without forcing the user to click on the scroll up/down internal buttons? ============================== I am wanting to draw my own non-client area (including the scrollbar). Hi windows API programmers, I'm so close to making my vertical scrollbar to work properly, except for: After pushing or dragging the scrollbar the window scrolls properly until I let go of the mouse. When I let go the window scrolls another unit to which I don't want to happen. I want to have the scrollbar place the window where it was set rather than 1 unit up or down. Another odd thing is the WM_VSCROLL message is called once when...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
