File upload using asp.net slower in IE than Netscape

I am using the code example listed on Microsofts web page at:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;323245

I noticed after testing that my IE 6.0.2800 is taking anywhere from 1
minute 15 seconds to upload a 50 MB file whereas Netscape Communicator
is taking 10 seconds to upload the same file.

The file is identical after uploading in either browser. Why would
Netscape be so much faster?

If i am right. IE uses BITS which is background intelligent transfer
service, which means it uses the idle bandwidth. That could be one reason.
