Hi,
I am writing some VB.NET code that compiles to a dll. There is some
code within it that manipulates Powerpoint 2003.
The dll I am writing is for smart tags, and I am having trouble because
sometimes Powerpoint is remaining running (powerpnt.exe in Task
Manager). One action of my smart tags calls InsertChart (code below).

Anyone knows of free or commercial pie chart control that has this features:
- I need only 2D pie chart type
- Can be commercial but not too expensive
- Save chart to WMF or EMF
- Since chart will print on BW printers it must have labels (instead of
legend but placed arround chart) that are connected to chart sections with
lines (so it can be seen which label corespondes to which section).

Hello,
I am using Powerpoint 2007 and have found an option to integrate
visual basic code into the slides. I am building a standalone Kiosk
and I want my powerpoint presentation to reset and go back to the
first slide if there isn't any activity for 4 minutes. Is this
something that can be done with visual basic? The code that visual

Hi,
We have developed an application that transforms xsl into excel file and
present xsl file to the user with data. We use open xml features of excel
2003. Our user is now asking for a chart to be part of transformed xl file.
We tried to save the chart properties in the xsl and it is not saving the xsl
with chart properties ( chart we are trying is simple pie chart)
Appreciate if any one has a solution or idea for this to happen.

Greetings!
I wrote a small Exe that simply runs Shell to load PowerPoint and launch a
particular file, depending on the day of the week. However, it was set up for
office 2003 (I naively hardcoded the path) and I also used Shell. Does
anybody have a snipped showing a more efficient method for launching a
Powerpoint file, regardless of which version of Office is running?

Hi,
I'm trying to use VBA to extract underlying data from charts in powerpoint to excel, i.e from the underlying powerpoint datasheet that feeds the chart.
I've found the macro below on the net. It copies the data in each chart/datasheet and slide in powerpoint but I'm struggling with the bit to get the data into excel.
Below it I've tried incoporating some code to paste into excel but it does not seem to work.
