Crystal reports in Windows 2003

40 New Member
Hi,

I developed a report using crystal reports in a web application. The reports works fine in Windows XP. When i run the same application in Windows server 2003. It throws the error :'

failed to get specific page

Again on refreshing, it throws,

the request could not be submittted for background processing

Can any one tell me why this happens? What are software requirements in need to check in my Windows server 2003 to make the report run? Does the report developed in xp wont work in Win 2003?

Regards,
BLACKY

I'm having a problem with this product. When I was using "Visual Studio.NET 1.0" to develop a project, we had no issues, but now after migrating to "Visual Studio.NET 2003" it does not use the same properties and methods. The error we're having now is: The base class includes the field 'CR_Viewer', but its

Hello All, I have a Windows application that uses Crystal Reports 9 (bundled Version) developed using VS.NET 2003 on a windows server 2003 m/c. The application has to be deployed on the client machine that has Windows XP installed. Before deploying we make sure that .NET framework 1.1 is installed on the XP machine. In the setup project, for support for Crystal Reports, we have added the following merge modules: 1)Crystal_Managed2003.msm...

Hi all, I encountered a crystal report deployment problem. I make reports with Crystal Report for Visual Studio .NET 2003. It works fine in the development machine. And then make setup package. Installed on a windows server 2003 system (without visual studio .net 2003), the report gives error about "Logon Failed". The data source is specified to OLE DB SQL Server, and the LogOnInfo is specified by

Hi, I've made an asp.net application which includes some Crystal Reports. When deploying the app to a Windows server 2003, I get a "Load Report failed" when trying to open a report. On my WinXP development machine I have no problems opening reports. Even on other XP development machines all reports work fine. I've deployed the app to a Win2k Server, and to my surprise the reports work ok! It seems to be an issue with Windows server 2003,...

I have an ASP.NET application that I've developed using Visual Studio ..NET 2003 and I'm making use of Crystal Reports for .NET that's included to return reports back to the visitor's web browser in PDF format. Up to this point, I've had no problems with the application in both the development environment (local workstation with Windows 2K) and deployed in production (on a Windows 2003 Server) both with .NET Framework 1.1.

First let me start by saying that this problem is not consistently reproducible. I have a windows service that creates reports for a group of entities. This service can process multiple groups at a single time, where each group is running in a separate thread. I have noticed mixed behavior when running multiple groups at one time (in separate threads). I have received the following two messages logged as errors. - A Crystal Reports...

I've just developed an Windows application that uses Crystal Reports (v10 ? - the version that ships with VS2005). Whilst the application works fine - reports can be viewed on the development machine, when I create a setup project (which includes the Crystal reports merge module), and deploy this setup file to another machine (a fresh install of WinXP Pro with SP2), the reporting section does not work... How do I get the report viewer...

Hi! We have a VB application using Crystal Reports 6 that has worked successfully on hundreds of systems for over 10 years. Now, on one network, the application and access database does not close. It seems to hang on the command. When we open the application an peruse the screens without opening up a report (using crystal reports), the application and access db closes fine. But as soon as we run a report and then close the report and...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
