I have a master framesetpage that calls two .aspx pages. Each page
needs parameters passed to it. The left side is a treeview. The
right side is the detail.
I cannot find an asp:frame or the like.
I need to be able to have the master frameset so that when it
initially pulls up the two source frames it sends them the parameter
in the querystring. Make Sense?

I´m new to ASP.Net. My workmate has some experience with it.
He claimed that in ASP.Net working with frames is much simpler than it
was ASP. I asked explanation but he couldn't give me such. (a button
inside a-tag with attribute target isn't anything new relating ASP.Net,
its same old HTML).
He claimed that you could change another page´s controls´s property´s
value from another frame by using this method:
' Page "Bottom"

What would be cool as hell, would be a designer interface like Dreamweaver -
with drag and drop elements like frames and such.
Why isn't ASP.Net as easy to use as Dreamweaver. Certainly Microsoft has
looked at them (if nothing more than as competition for FrontPage). What
would be the reason for NOT making an easy-to-use ui designer that actually
made good looking web pages instead of what we have come to expect from
Microsoft's web...

OK....so I got a little off-topic last time.......
I still want to do a simple web page like MSDN Library
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp) with a couple of changes.
On my navigation I want to allow the user to select a couple of choices and
generate the URL for the main content page on the fly.
It seems that frames are the way to go, but I'd like to see a simple example
of frames using ASP.Net (1.1 or 2.0 is fine).

Let me first by saying I am NOT a .net programmer, but am very skilled with
ASP, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, Flash development.
I've been reading through posts here about Frames vs. Master Pages and there
seems to be the thought of why use Frames when you can use a Master Page?
How does a Master Page only update a section without re-displaying the
entire page. We have a site that has some small swf banners for lack of a
better term that we...

This stuff is new to me except for frames.
I can't see how Master pages can provide a sizable splitter that frames
can do and very easly fill each frame with an untouched aspx form.
It's getting harder to do simple things in my opinon. I understand the
idea behind master pages and it's great but give me a break.
I suppose i'm having a hard time not having any body, form, head tags
within a aspx doc that has the masterpagefile...

Is HTML frame is an old technology? Will the modern web application are
developed using the HTML frames? Does all the browsers support them?
Thank you for your suggestion,

Hi,
I want to create a new web application using VS2008 (I'm actually rewriting
what's currenty at www.recordplay.com).
The current site uses frames. Do I want to still do this, or is there a
new/better way now?
Basically, I have that Windows Media Player that I want up all the time
(embedded) playing songs while the user can navigate around to other pages.

I have to developer a site like the CRM of Microsoft (the user
interface), my original idea was do it with frames but, other friends
said me that not is correct, my site is as a template (header, left
menu,footer).
Wich is the best way to do it with master pages or frames, i'm trying
not load the menu in all pages.
Sorry my bad english!!!!

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
