Hi,
I'm using Visual Studio 2003 (C#) with the integrated
Crystal Report software and have the following question:
How can I assign a value (string) to an unbound (string)
field in Crystal Report at runtime?
Example:

Hello All,
I have a Windows application that uses Crystal Reports 9 (bundled Version)
developed using VS.NET 2003 on a windows server 2003 m/c.
The application has to be deployed on the client machine that has Windows
XP installed. Before deploying we make sure that .NET framework 1.1 is
installed on the XP machine. In the setup project, for support for Crystal
Reports, we have added the following merge modules:
1)Crystal_Managed2003.msm...

I have a transaction log file where the DataSet table's Description column
is actually delimited into "subcolumns" based upon the transaction id. I
would like to parse these into separate fields for reporting purposes and am
wondering if anyone knows if this is easily accomplished using the .NET
version of Crystal Reports?
For example, the description column may be reporting on a dataentry error as
follows:
TXNCODE: 1010001

I am going through your Brian Bischof's walkthrough in Chapter 1 of
his book Crystal Reports .Net Programming and have come up to a
problem. When I load the ReportDocument onto the form I get no dialog
box to select the typed ReportDocument class from. I am running
VS.NET 2003 and have installed Service Pack 2 for Crystal Reports.
The ReportDocument on my toolbox is assembly
CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine 9.1.5000.0. The only...

I have an ASP.NET application that I've developed using Visual Studio
..NET 2003 and I'm making use of Crystal Reports for .NET that's
included to return reports back to the visitor's web browser in PDF
format.
Up to this point, I've had no problems with the application in both
the development environment (local workstation with Windows 2K) and
deployed in production (on a Windows 2003 Server) both with .NET
Framework 1.1.

Hello,
I need help. I have experience in ASP.NET programming, but this is my first
dealing with Crystal Reports. I'm trying to make the most basic report
purely for testing purposes: connect to the remote SQL DB and create a
report on one of the tables. Every time I do it, I get the Logon Failed
error (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LogOnException: Logon failed)
The internet search shows that this is a common problem,...

Hi,
I created a ASP.NET crystal reports web site in VS 2005. I wanted to display
the data in a DataSet in the Crystal Reports viewer control. I am getting the
DataSet from another dll. The documentation says that I need to add a new
item - Crystal report, with a blank report in the project which will
automatically create a class say CrystalReport1 in my project (if the name of
the crystal report added is CrystalReport1.rpt). I should...

I know this may not be the best NG for this, but I feel you guys know more
about this than any of the other NGs.
I need to build several simple reports (over 50 of them and they get their
data from sql server) and I was wondering whish of these is the better tool
.. We're still not sure if they'll be loaded from an existing VB6 application
or if I'll have to make a separate module for them (in .Net).
In general, which is the better tool?...

Hi,
Just wondering what a good book is on visual studios 2008 ( or 2005 if no
2008 ) that teaches you how to properly use crystal reports with it.
Or im assuming that as long as I can create a dataset and link it to a
reportviewer than any Crystal Report book will do.
I use vb.net but im assuming most books would show you vb and c

On reflection, you could possibly make the app a self extracting zip file
which extracts the EXE and a settings file and then starts the app, then when
you app closes, it can repack the settings file and itself into the exe. You
would probably want a tool for this bit which could be in the zip too.
So the app isnt single exe when running but when not running, it is.
Just an idea for you to think about.
Another option would possibly be to...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
