how to set dynamically datasource to crystal report

28 New Member
hello in my application we hav monthly databases
every month we create new database through code in asp.net
database name like 200901AVG
200902AVG
now my problem is iam working with crystal reports
here i want to create a AVG report from November 2008 to Jan 2009
so i need 200811AVG,20081 2AVG,200901AVG Databases
like this whatever dates i selected it will goes to the particular database and pick the records from that database

so i can't manually set datasource to the crystal report.
how to solve this

I don't know if this has been addressed in some other form/forum but we tried what we thought was everything. I apologize if i'm being redundant. We build reports like so when they require passing parameters to limit the results: One person develops the report layout using a view. The other person creates a datatable at runtime from a stored proc

Hi All, I had previously asked this question with regard to Cyrstal Reports, which I believe is not the most suitable for doing the job. The problem: I need to create a report with X number of items (statistics), and Y number of graphs/charts. The report will be viewed on screen, printed, or saved as pdf. The report is created as you would a report. The user

I am using Crystal Enterprise V9. I have a report that needs to have multiple datasets as the datasource(s) on a single subreport (some common lookup data I need to join to is stored in a seperate dataset). The report is working fine with a single dataset as a datasource, but I cannot seem to find any examples of multiple datasets as a datasource. Is this possible? ReportDocument.SetDatasource() seems to only take a single dataset,...

Hello all I want to define a crystal report and assign the stored procedure GetOpenQuestions() as it's datasource and provide a set of parameters. How does this work? My target situation is that I provide a server name, stored procedure name and it's parameters, and make crystal connect to the database itself. So I don't want to get the data myself and bind it to the report manually.

I have a bunch of Crystal Reports (v9) published as WebServices and use a ReportViewer to display the reports on the ASPNET page. Everytime we move the reports from dev to production we have to open the reports and manually change the datasouce to the production database. Is there a way to set the datasouce on the webserviced reports dynamically? (A datasource property or something?) cant seem to find anything. Thanks!

Hello. I have just started using Microsoft Reporting tools and I like it very much. I'm using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 for generating reports in my ASP.NET web application. Now I want to do following: I want to add feature which will allow user to upload untyped report file to the web server and then my application will dynamically bind and display this report in ReportViewer Control.

Hello, I'm toying with the idea of loading a MenuStrip (VB.Net 2005) dynamically based on who is logged into my system. Every user has different security settings and I want to customize the main menu instead of showing all possible options and only enabling/disabling certain ones. I have a table that stores the menu item name, parent item (if applicable), display order, etc. so that I can dynamically load my

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
