In your PageLoad event, are you doing a DataBind on your GridView?
When you do this, any values entered while the user was editing the row will be reset because the GridView's data source has been reset.

Oh, I see what you're doing.
You have to know what type of control is being used to display the data in the cell, then you need to retrieve the text being displayed in that control.
For Example: -
//note: here I know that the first cell contains a Label that is used to display the content
-
String someText = (Label) row.Cells[0].Controls[0].Text;
-
int someNumber = Convert.ToInt16(someText);

Hello, I am using an editable datagrid. After I save the changes the
datagrid shows the old values.
I've read the posts about the Page_Load and not binding the datagrid
each time. The SQL that is being sent to the database is correct and
the changes are eventually being made. If I refresh the page after the
update then the new values appear.
I noticed that when I put a breakpoint in my update handler everything
works fine. When I take...

Under ASP.NET (C#) I want to create a page that people can use to submit
questions. This page will consist of a table with several rows of
information, like:
Name: Bill Smith
Job title: Developer
Address: 123 Main Street.
After the table of information will be the web form. So basically I want to
display the table and then have the web form.

Hi,
May be this is silly, or I just need a second pair eyes to look at this.
I am trying to get values that I have edited in a datagrid and update the
values with those values. Here is the code that I am using in my update
command.
TextBox txtProdName = (TextBox)e.Item.Cells.Controls;
TextBox txtSuppID = (TextBox)e.Item.Cells.Controls;
TextBox txtCatID = (TextBox)e.Item.Cells.Controls;

I have a problem of number and text field.
I got the database file(mdb) that contains many combo boxes used and
its list values are created by "value list"
For eg field
Field name= 'furniture' , data type='Number' ,Display Control='Combo
Box', RowSource Type = 'Value List' and
Row Source = ' 0;"chair";1;"Table";2;"Bed" '
Therefore, in data sheet view of table, if we select (1 : Table ) ,

I've got a strange situation here. I have a databound DataGridView that
also has un-bound columns. When the view loads, I want to update the values
of the unbound columns. If I attempt to modify the unbound column's cells
in the OnLoad() handler the results are very strange. If I add a button to
my view and update the unbound cells in the butt's handler it works fine.
Here is an example of the code I'm trying to use (it's test code):...

I have a TabControl on a Windows form in which I have various tab pages each
with a DataGridView, the first column of which is a
DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn and subsequent columns being
DataGridViewtextBoxColumns.
In each case the properties of the CheckBoxcolumn have been set to not allow
nulls, so presumably only explicit true or false values should be possible.
I run the application and set check boxes for DataGridView rows I am...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
