Hello,
Does anyone have an idea on how I can filter the data in the gridview
control that was returned by an sql query?
I have a gridview that works fine when I populate it with data. Now I want
to look at that data and filter it based on what is in it.
I know that this could have been done with data sets and data views in
asp.net 1.1 but how is this done now in asp.net 2.0?

I wanted better control over the display of the command buttons, so I
created Template columns for each command. (Otherwise the GridView was
putting extras spacing around the images and such.)
Is there a way to tell the GridView to only show certain columns if that
particular row is in edit mode? I can hide the Edit and Delete buttons when
entering edit mode, but when I display save and cancel buttons by enabling

I am trying to bind the selected value of a databound dropdown box in a
databound gridview control to the value being displayed in the template
column the dropdown box has been added to. Both the grid and the dropdown
box are retrieving and displaying data fine, I just cant bind the two

Hi - This could be a simple question. When I relate two tables in a
datasetet, how do I get that relation to show up in a GridView? The
only way I've done it, is to create a separate table in the dataset
with a join query for the GetData() select method. I use
ObjectDataStore to couple the GridView with the table adapter on the

I have a gridview with a couple textboxes and a dropdownlist. I'm
trying to insert a default value into my database driven dropdownlist.
I'm doing this in the rowdatabound event. My problem is that my code
