I'm new to .NET and just trying a few things out, like emailing. I created a
form in Visual Studio .Net to input some information for generating an email
and I'm getting the following error when it executes both on my server or on
the server of the .NET service provider. I'm obviously missing something
very basic and I'm hoping one of you can point out my error. Thank you for
your assistance.

I created a dropdownlist containing day, month and year field and expose a property to assign a date. When I call from a aspx page and assign the value, the new date is not displayed until a submit is performed.
How do I force the usercontrol to display the newly assigned date? I don't have this problem if I place the two dropdownlist and the year field directly on the aspx page.

If Len(USAAddress1.ValidFromCur) > 0 Then
USAAddress2.ValidFromCur = USAAddress1.ValidFromCur
End If
Here is the Property method in the user control's class file:

Hello everyone. I am trying to write some custom command events into a
DataGrid. The command that is currently giving me trouble is an "Add"
custom command in the footer of a template column.
Question #1: In the Add button Command Event I am trying to access the
Text value of the TextBox in the other Footer columns. However, inside
the Event, the TextBox.Text values are all empty strings, even if they
had data typed into them. Is this a...

Hi all,
I have a simple custom control with a label and a text box. The text
control's value is persisting when I do a post back, so the view state
is working, but I cannot access the value in the code. Is there
anything different I have to do to expose the value of the text box?
testControl.Text returns the unchanged original value, not the new
value.

I have an asp.net website I am designing using VS2005 standard. It is installed on Win2K3 Enterprise.
In a Wizard Control, I want to take user input from two textboxes, add them together, and then display the results in a label when the user clicks a button.
I am using VB.
Here is an example of what I'm trying to do:
<%@ Page Language="VB" %>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"...

On one page I have a datalist where a message is bound to a label.
On another page I have the datalist which allows for the insert of new
message as well as being able to edit those messages. The editing
(EditItemTemplate) has a textbox that loads the message into its text
property.
The problem I'm running into is working with vbCrLf and <brinterchangeably
between the textbox on the admin page and the label on the general message
page. I...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
