I am having a hard time with makeing what I am trying to do work. I
am making a questionaire web app. I have a custom control that has a
label and 5 radio buttons. My problem is that each different topic
for the questionaire is in a database and each questionaire will have
a different number of questions. I am trying to use a repeater to
creat multiple copies of the control, unfortunately when I do this the
different controls act like...

I created a custom DataGridColumn based on Marcie Robillard's MSDN
Article:
Creating Custom Columns for the ASP.NET Datagrid
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnaspp/html/creatingcustomcolumns.asp
The problem I am having is that the data in the custom datagridcolumn
is not saved to viewstate and after postback, the column does not
contain data.

Hi,
Is there documentation that talks about the page lifecycle, the lifecycle of
controls on the page, and the rendering of inline code, in a single
document?
Thanks,
John

When using a custom control. In order to check and see if values have
changed one has to implement the IPostBackDataCollection interface. The
values returned for the control seem to be simply a string with comma
delimited values.
For example, if I were to render two text boxes. One with the Value Terry
and the Other with the Value 'Burns' I would get the following value
Terry,Burns.

Hello,
I have a products page that takes a product ID in the query string.
Based on the product details (from a database), the page then loads up
one of a number of custom controls, calls a method in the control (that
displays product info) and then loads the control into a placeholder so
it will be displayed.
I want to be able to restore the state of the controls in the custom
control, but can't get it to work. For example, the...

Hi all,
I'm tearing my hair out with this one.
I have successfully implemented by own RadioButtonList in order to
provide additional functionality and a DIV rather than TABLE-based
layout in one of my ASP.NET 1.1 web forms. This involves a fairly
simple inheritance of the System.Web.UI.WebControls.RadioButtonList
class, with some new properties added and the Render sub overridden.
When I come to render each radio item, I do the...

Hi, I have built a custom control button which inherits from WebControl and
implements IPostBackEventHandler. The control also declares an event Click
and provides a method OnClick which invokes the registered delegate. All is
fine with my control until I try to add it to the page dynamically in a code
behind event handler and wire-up the click event using the normal syntax such
that;
protected void btnNew_Click(object sender, EventArgs...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
