Hello,
Is there any news on when and if Ajax will return the support for drag/drop
functionality of webparts in Firefox?
Unfortunately, I began development on my application using the CTP release
which included this support. Any suggestions for a workaround, or an
alternative solution?
Thanks!

Why don't we see more WebParts being used on the web? SharePoint gets all
the fun? And what are the prevailing opinions be they what they may about
the use of WebParts rather than WPF when the context would be the
development of a service which enables users to select templates that have
pre-established zones which function as content containers on a web page?
PopFly has a "build a web page" service for example. I need something
similar...

Hi, before I build something in it, I wanted to know if it's about to
be replaced or if I should use something else. Also, does anyone know
the bad points or things to avoid when using webparts? Thank you for
any help.

I know this doesn't sound right as how can php be different in safari vs ie/ff, but i've been updating a genre list on my page to a tag cloud.
When submitting the form using ie/ff the tag is sent properly, and the response is correct.
When submitting from safari or chrome, the tag is sent properly (i've left the alert in place), and you can see that the variable is recieved in php properly, but then the query returns no results.
This...

Setting the tabIndex property an element makes it focusable and attached
key listeners respond. Or so it seems...
This procedure works in - from what I've tested - IE6+, FF, Opera.
However, Safari and Chrome (and perhaps others) fail to respond,
obviously myElement.focus() can be called, but shows no further effect.
One possibility might be a listener attached to the document, which then
redirects the event to the "focused" element -...

Hi
I've checked out this page (and it works fine) in FF, IE, Opera, Chrome and Safari:
http://www.w3schools.com/dom/tryit.asp?filename=try_dom_list_loop
But when I try and tweak it for a site I'm working on, it doesn't work in Chrome and Safari.
I used their exact external javascript to load the xml file:
function loadXMLDoc(dname)

The minimal AJAX script below works in Firefox, but not in IE, Opera, or Chrome. I could use some suggestions or referrals to resources that will help me get the script working in other browsers.
Before there are six characters entered in the CAPTCHA code field, the 'Send' button is supposed to be disabled. When there are at least six characters in the CAPTCHA code field, the script attempts to verify the CAPTCHA w/AJAX. If it verifies, it...

Gents,
I have a problem (only in Safari) with the onsubmit in webforms. This topic covers the same subject: http://bytes.com/topic/javascript/answers/166542-onsubmit-safari but not as detailed as I will.
Let me illustrate the problem with examples.
The HTML:
<html>
<head>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/js/mootools_1_11.js"></script>

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
