I get SQL30090 reason 18 by trying to do an insert in a federated table and
an update in a local table in one transaction
Do I have to change some settings to get done or ist this not possible by
definition?

I trying to do an aplicattion where it shows the data from a sql server
database and you can save the changes. When I use a datagrid I haven´t any
problem to update de changes but when I use textboxes to show and make the
changes of any field of the table the command UPDATE doesn´t run correctly

I'm using WebMatrix to make ASP.NET pages, and I chose the "Editable
DataGrid" at the project selector screen. As you may know, it defaults
to the Microsoft SQL database "pubs". I've followed the instructions in
the comments and also changed everything pertaining to SQL over to
OLEDB. (i.e. Changed SqlDbType. to OleDbType.) I also changed the

Hi,
I have 1 dataset with 2 tables (Table1 as parent, Table2 as Child), 1 row in
both the tables.
I am updating it with a transaction. First parent then child.
When child update fails, it raise an exception, and rollback the parent
update. But it also change the rowstate of the parent row from Added to
unchanged
When you try to save again parent row never get created in database. So
child update will fail again.
Please suggest what am I...

Here's one that should probably have the sub-heading "I'm sure I asked this
once before, but ...".
Two users are both looking at the same data, from a database. One user
changes the data and commits it. How does the other user get the updated
view without polling for changes? Is there some sort of callback mechanism
that can be set up on the dataset or connection?

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
