Unicode attachment file name doesn't work on IE

Cat
Response.Append Header("Content-Disposition", "attachment ; filename=ѧ
У.txt");

This works correctly on Opera, FireFox or Safari. But on IE, the file
name gets broken. Setting HeaderEncoding to UTF-8 didn't solve it. If
I use Server.UrlEncod e, the file name is shown fine on IE but broken
like %XX%XX%XX... on other browsers.

What can I do?

hi, to convert excel files via csv to xml or whatever I frequently use the csv module which is really nice for quick scripts. problem are of course non ascii characters like german umlauts, EURO currency symbol etc. the current csv module cannot handle unicode the docs say, is there any workaround or is unicode support planned for the near future? in most cases support for characters in iso-8859-1(5) would be ok for my purposes but of...

Recently I was editing a document in GoLive 6. I like GoLive because it has some nice features such as: * rewrite source code * check syntax * global search & replace (through several files at once) * regular expression search & replace. Normally my documents are encoded with the ISO setting. Recently I was writing an XHTML document. After changing the encoding to UTF-8 I used the

I'm trying to upgrade some old code that used old iostreams. At one place in the code, I have a path/filename in a wchar_t string (unicode utf-16). I need to open an ifstream to that file. But the open() on ifstream only takes char * strings (mbcs?). In old iostreams, I could _wopen() the file, get the filedesc, and call attach() on the ifstream.

I'm left with some legacy code using plain old str, and I need to make sure it works with unicode input/output. I have a simple plan to do this: - Run the code with "python -U" so all the string literals become unicode litrals. - Add this statement str = unicode

Hello, I hope someone can illuminate this situation for me. Here's the nutshell: 1. On start I call locale.setlocale(locale.LC_ALL,''), the getlocale. 2. If this returns "C" or anything without 'utf8' in it, then things start to go downhill: 2a. The app assumes unicode objects internally. i.e. Whenever there is

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
