how to run this program from VS studio 2005

Hi all,

I just start to learn C#.
Can I run this program from VS.net instead of from DOS.

Thanks.

Hi Betty

Change your project output type from consol application to windows
application

for this select your project and right click and select properties
from bottom of the menu

a project property window will appear ... under application tab you
will find output type dropdown

select consol to windows application

Best of luck

Hi Betty,

As for the code snippet you provided, it is a typical C# console
application, which will run in a console window(DOS like black command
window). Are you going to develop a winform application which has form GUI
?

If so, you can have a look at the following general reference about windows
form application development:

#Getting Started with Windows Forms

welcome to .NET world:)

I'm going to try to keep this question within the student posting guidelines. I've been working on a class file, and I'm not sure I've constructed it correctly. I'm getting several errors concerning the function definitions and matching { with }. I've checked my brackets several times and it looks right to me. I've made changes, changed back, and I'm at a loss. I'm using Visual C++ Express 2005 on Windows Vista OS. It may just be something...

Hi, I've written a program which has both a command line interface and Windows form interface, however it isn't quite working correctly. When run from command line with no arguments it should display the Windows form. The form is being displayed but the command only returns when the form is closed. I want the command line to return immediately, leaving the form displayed.

Hi experts, We are trying to migrate from Visual Studio 6 (C++ project) on Windows 2000 to Visual Studio 2005 SP1 on Windows Vista but found that the migrated program runs slower in both OS. A looping section of the original program (compiled with VC6) running in Windows 2000 takes 400ms but the same program (compiled with VS 2005) in Windows Vista but copied to the Windows 2000 machine (together with the VC Redistribution libraries) to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
