Hello,
This may be very elementary, but, need help because I am new to access
programming.
(1) Say, I have a column EMPLOYEE_NAME. How do I fetch (maybe, cursor
?) the values one by one and populate a combo box with these names.
(this way, I can display all the EMPLOYEE_NAME values)
(2) In general, can I do additional processing on column values from

Hi,
I have a gridView (grid1), which as a templateColumn.
In the template column, I have put in a gridView (grid2) and a
ObjectDataSource (objectDataSource2).
Question is... How to I pass the current_row_key of Grid1... to the
objectDataSource2 parameter?
(so that the second grid, gets only the information to do with current row
of grid1)

On the page in question I have a gridview that displays the list of all
products in the Products table of the DB. That gridview is bound with a
sqldatasource using Visual Studio's "wizards". The gridview is paged at
10 rows. Anticipating the client entering in many, many products, I
want to allow the products to be filtered by a dropdownlist just above
the gridview containing categories/category ID's.
I have tried mulitple methods for...

Hi guys,
I need your expertise on this, cause I can't figure it out why this is
happening.
I have a GridView with a lot of steps, but in step 3 I want to stay there
until I have all the information I need
(the user is adding the previuos houses for the latest 5 years, and until I
have all the houses for that period I do not want the user to move to the
next step)

Hi all,
I'm a newbie to Atlas (and recently ASP.NET) after coming from a long
Java background, also have done quite a bit with an Ajax.NET/ASP.NET
1.1 project, but it was basically all javascript, nothing really having
to do with ASP.NET...
I'm attempting to put together an application that consists of several
GridView controls each bound to some xml data. Each table exists in
its own update panel. The two effects I'm going for are:

Hello,
I am trying to bind a GridView to a custom object I have created. First,
here is what I'm trying to do:
I have a wizard for adding/editing Users. When the wizard begins, a User
object (custom class) is created, and properties are populated in each step
of the wizard. In one of the steps, the User is assigned to 1 or more
Programs. Assigned Programs are stored by the User object in a List, and
displayed in a GridView in the...

Hello,
I read some msdn and other articles about how does databinding among
DataSource controls and FormView / GridView controls works but I still don't
fully understand to this blackbox. I have few questions and hopefully you can
provide me some answers.
1. Best place for DataBinding.
Where is the best place for calling DataBind method? Is it possible to say
don't bind controls for this postback and use current values instead? These...

I have a nested gridview. I want the nested gridview to be invisible by
default but to become visible when a button is clicked in its parent. The
code below handles this toggling well when the nested gridview visability
starts at true. When I set it to false the toggle no longer works. I can
some movement on the page and when I step through the code I can see the
visability toggling but the nested gridview remains invisible. It's probably...

Hi again,
Okay, I decided the GridView is the way to go to solve my problem. But now I've got another problem.
I've found plenty of examples about how to add a DropDownList item to the grid view, how to bind it and how to add the selection items to the list. My problem is that in all the examples I can find all show how to add the selection items from a database only. I don't always want to do that. Sometimes I want to add just from a...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
