I would like suggestions or code examples on how to collect a variable
length list of input data (item# & item quantity specifically).
I thought that I could accomplish this using a GridView that has ViewState
enabled, an ObjectDataSource to process the submitted list, textboxes for
getting new item data and an add button.
Does this approach sound feasible or are there better alternatives?
My problem is that I don't...

Hello,
I have a GridView in my page which is created in runtime. It works fine.
My page has 2 Asp Buttons:
- The HIDE button makes GridView.Visible = False;
- The SHOW button makes GridView.Visible = True.
I press HIDE and the GridView disappears as expected.
After it I press SHOW and the GridView doesn't show.

We are working on a gridview inside the gridview (parent-child) scenario.
The data of child grid will depend on the data of parent.
Objectives:
1.Add new row in parent grid after each row and add child grid into that row
because the columns in child grid are same as parent grid and we want to

I have a gridview. I am using template columns inside the gridview.
When I display the gridview on the web page and if there is no value in a

I am trying to extend the System.Web.UI.WebControls.BoundField class to create a custom GridView / DetailsView column that will render other controls, for example a Calendar or a DropDownList.
I have made a start using some sample code from Stephen Walther's book "ASP.NET 2.0 Unleashed". (By the way, it's excellent).
The sample inherits from the basic BoundField class to create a multi-line text bound field:

I'm adding subheadings to a gridview. Each sub head has a few link buttons.
I'm adding the controls in the rowdatabound event code follows: sorry about
