asp:Menu control - setting the style of the selected item in the navigation

RJN
Hi

I'm using the asp:Menu control in the sharepoint master page for
displaying the site navigation. The site navigations are getting
displayed. On clicking one of the menu items in the navigation, I want
to change the style of the selected menu item so that it stands out as
selected. Can anyone help me on this? I've tried using
selecteditemsty le, but it didn't work.

Thanks

I have a Windows service that requests web pages from a site using an HttpWebRequest object. When I try to request a page from an ASP.NET 2 site, I get a WebException with message "The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error." I found a post that suggested to catch the WebException to retrieve the actual HttpWebResponse object for more information. The response returned is shown below. At first I thought this was a...

I have created an ASP:Menu which is Horizontal and has dynamic menu items. If I move my cursor to one of the static menu selections and click on it (which should cause nothing to happen), my screen is refreshed and the menu item "disappears". You can see that the item is there but the color of the menu item changes to a color which makes it disappear. It would appear to me that the <StaticSelectedStylewould be the style which would be...

I would like to have a standard site navigation menu, horizontal across the page, at the top of the page. When I hover over a top level menu item I want a drop down menu to appear with the same background color and text alignment as the top level item. Am I asking too much of the asp:menu control? I went the "-CssClass" route in order to get my menu option text to center, but this does not seem to play well with the styling properties...

Has anyone have any experience of doing this ? I want a small menu on each row with a few options, I have tried it and it seems to work great at first but after clicking on a menu item and handling that event you get some weird display artifacts, when you hover your mouse over them all the menus on the page in each row of the gridview are fully expanded and overlapping each other. I realise the asp menu control is meant for site...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
