I intended to save properties of an object to a Hashtable. In this case, keys and values are not fixed types and I cannot use SortedList.
I have no idea what order the .NET framework add items to Hashtable when Add(key, value) method is applied. Monitoring the position items are added, I cannot find if key is the standard or value.
I thought...

I have this problem - I have a hashtable, containing a list of filenames.
Every 60 seconds, I have a thread that enumerates thru this hashtable, and
based on some simple logic, some of the items in the hashtable has to be
removed.
But when I remove a pair from the hashtable, inside the enumeration loop, I
get an exception.

Hi all,
Is it possible to populate a listbox from a hashtable (complexbind) where
the ValueMember of the listbox maps to the "key" member of the hashtable AND
the DisplayMember of the listbox maps to the "value" member of the
hashtable?
I found that it is impossible to use a hashtable as a listbox datasource
directly (from trial and error)...

cached and methods on which are called by n threads ( n is approx = 25 ) )

The usual trick to get around the "collection was modified" problem by
looping through the collection backwards by index won't work with a
Hashtable because there is no way to access by index, right? How do I loop
through a Hashtable to selectively remove items?

I am running into an issue with a HashTable where it isnt holding data in the order that I am adding it. I am pulling a SqlDataReader out of a table and looping through that to add the items to the HashTable. I have an ID field (autonumber) and a Sort Index field. I want the items to be stored in the hashtable by Sort Index. However, when I add...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
