Can anyone recommend an upload and download asp.net web control? Should
allow the user to locate file on their hard drive and upload to web server
and vice versa for download. It should also to the user the name of the
file, length, and updated date.
There should also be a maximum file limit to upload and download. Should
also provide capability to upload and download multiple files.

I'm using Microsoft's own VB.NET FTP Example:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;832679
I can get the program to create directories, change directories, etc.,
but I can't get it to upload a file to the FTP server. I just get a
"Cannot connect to remote server" error after this TRY:
s = New Socket(AddressFamily.InterNetwork, SocketType.Stream,
ProtocolType.Tcp)

I am building an ASP.NET application that has a requirement that the
user should be able to download all of the data that they have input
into the system and save it to a file on their local PC. Then at some
future time they should be able to upload it back to the web server and
continue working on it. (Don't ask me why they have to be able to do
this. Apparently the users are super paranoid about saving their data
to the server and...

Hello,
I am a newbie and am developing an application for work.
I have figured out how to upload a file attachment to the SQL database
and download the same file using C# and Visual Studio. However, the
user wants to download and edit a file and then upload the same file
back to the database (ie overwrite the file). How do I do this?
Also, how to upload/download the file to a network drive instead of

Hello,
After all this time, Linux file permissions still confuse me at times.
I have a Python web-based application with an file (images) upload module. The application is running on two remote servers and a local server on my development network.
The upload module works just fine when I'm uploading to my remote servers. But when I try to upload to my development server, I get a permission error.
What I don't understand is who is...

SA Upload SQL Database variable types (image upload and storage)
I am having trouble with the SA Upload utility. The following code used to work correctly. However, I lost my database and had to rebuild. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I may have wrong. I am not sure if I built my table to store the picture id's correctly. Maybe a field type or something.
<form name="UpdatePropertyPicture" method="POST"...

I have an intranet LAMP server and I use PHP to upload files. It is of course faster to download the same file than to upload it.
I understand ISPs throttle their network for download speed, than upload since most people download from the internet vs upload.
My question is if it's a local intranet with a couple of users, why is it faster to download the same exact file vs when I uploaded it a minute ago.
Does it have to do with HTTP...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
