I use a ListView in a form to display Data from an SQL db.
My problem is that I can fill the listview in less than a second when I show the form AFTER filling the listview, but I take 35 seconds if I show the form BEFORE filling the listview !!!
Yes I call ListView's BeginUpdate()/EndUpdate() methods, I tried with hiding the ListView before filling it, I tried Suspend/resume Layout,. nothing works, I still have to wait 35...

Hello,
This might be a really easy question, but... I am
developing a simple Smart Device application that uses a
listview. I have a function that adds a item to the
listview - code is below. I use the type listviewitem,
selitem, on one form to modify the listviewitem, using a
timer, every second, and use selitem1 to modify items,
after they have ended the time on the timer form, from
the form that the listview is located - this way I...

I've set up a list of image filesnames in a listview control(lvSrcFileList),
I'm using the selectedIndexChange event to select which file is being
displayed in a picturebox control(pbImagePreview). The first time a filename
is selected it works fine but if I try to select another filename the
program bombs with an exception error; flagging the line below "curntImage =
Image.FromFile(cpath). The listview is set for a single selection....

I am using a few ActiveX ListViews in my VB.NET Windows Forms application.
I have the ListView's HotTracking property set to False, yet when I move the
mouse over an item in the ListView (without clicking), the item gets
selected. Is there a way can work around this problem besides changing all
of my ActiveX ListViews to .NET ListViews?
Thanks!

Hi,
I'm having a problem working with a listview in an application I'm writing.
Currently, whenever the selectedindex changed event fires, it loads up a
htmledit control, and other labels on the form, with the current information
associated with the listview item. The control is called HtmlEdit and it
references Microsoft.Mshtml Whenever I click on each item, it works fine,
but it seems that whenever I use the up/down arrows(important)...

Hi,
I am using C# 2.0 (VS2005) to build my user control that contains a
number of dynamically loaded ListViews. ListViewItems have their
ForeColor properties set to either black or blue to distinguish
between ListViewItems.
As long as no other application window (i.e. word or calculator, or
....) goes over my running form, ForeColor properties or each
ListViewItem stays black or blue as intended.

I have had no replies to my previous post so perhaps I didn't write it
good enough.
Please excuse new thread but i wanted to break from the last thread
hopefully this thread will be better.
Very simple. I would like to create listviewitem's for display in a
listview control.
The listview items need to contain properties from Internet Explorer
windows i've managed to collect into an arraylist.

Hello,
My problem concerns the shell. If there's a better forum for this post,
please let me know.
I'm trying to create a ListView control that displays the contents of a
folder with all the appropriate icons etc. I first tried this in c# with
reasonable success, but this is really a job for c++. However I've run into
a problem.

Hi everyone!
I have some strange behavior of ListView control in WPF.
We are developing application in C#.
I created ListView with some items and set SelectedIndex to some index in
the middle of its list. Then I clicked mouse at any place on the ListView and
then navigate with Up/Dows keyboard keys, everything works perfectly. But If
I move focus to another control and then tries to set focus back to ListView

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
