ASP.NET Account and ASP.NET Membership

Hello All,

I am having trouble with ASP,NET Membership. The membership account is
not being created in the App_Code folder as it should. It has been
suggested to me that perhaps this is because the ASP.NET account does
not have create permission.

What is the ASP.NET account? How do I find out what permissions it
has? How do I change these permissions?

Thanks much in advance,

Paul

If you're having trouble, then look at this link
http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archi...25/423703.aspx

and use another database server, besides express.

Hi, I have an issue I have not found a way to get around. First of all, I use Windows XP Professional. I have a user account for administrative & security purposes (install software, share things, etc.) and then a regular/limited user account which is the one I use for my every day tasks such as software development and web browsing. Obviously if I give administrator rights to my account I open myself to a myriad of bad things out there...

I have a customer who would like to set an expiration date on user accounts to 30 days. I'm using Asp.net 2.0 (VS 2005) with the default membership database and forms authentication. How do I query the membership database? I see a createdate field that I believe is what I want, but I'm just not familiar with customizing the user accounts in the membership database.

One of the requirements is that when a person signs up for a mailing list through the website they have to activate their subscription through a link sent to them in an email. How would I do something like this? The db being used is sql server 2005 express.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
