Hi, I have a aspx with a a FormView on left wich opens insert template as
default containing all the TextsBox, Combos, etc, and on right a GridView
listing the stored itens (ID column key)... When the user clicks on
gridview, it must open the formview in edit mode with all the objects
filled... how can I do that?
another question, if there is need to add more itens on the formview insert
template, must it be added manually on edit template too ?

If your GridView/FormView bound to an ObjectDataSourc e, it can be
easily done as per example

After a week of toiling I've finallay decided to post the code below with
hopes that someone can point out my error(s).
Basically I have a Gridview/Formview on a ASP.NEt 2.0 page.
When I select a record on the Gridview I'm presented with the corresponding
FormView Template for Editing. Works fine!
ItemTemplate in FormView works fine...Edit button takes me Edit Template!

I have a LinkButton that does two things:
1. Open a GridView to view the records to open in the FormView
(fvServiceNotes)
2. Directly open the Formview in Insert mode (fvServiceNotes).
If you select the GridView, it show a list of records. On the
"SelectedIndexChanged" event, it opens the FormView to the correct record.
