Hi,
I would like to make a web page where i can drag a selection of files from
Windows Explorer to a spot on the web page and then have the page do
something with the list of files names. (Specifally, upload them to the web
server.)
I can easily upload files by adding a mulit part form submission. My
problem is the drag and drop.

Hi.
I'm looking for a few pointers on being able to drag and drop files into the
IE browser and have the file stored in my DB. (Idealy, I would like to be
able to drag them out also, but that's a much lower priority)
Currently, I'm doing it the traditional way by having the user enter the
file name into a file/input box. (some of my users aren't too bright and
don't understand this concept!) If you've seen ofoto.com or winkflash.com...

Hello,
I look at the asp.net 2.0 web parts tutorial on the asp.net web site. I
tried to run it under firefox browser but it did not run.
If I want to use this feature in a commercial product where the user can run
on firefox/mozilla, what would be a good approach.
1. Should I overwrite the javascript code drag-and-drop to make it more
browser independent. If I want to go this route, can anybody provide me a

Hi! Please point me to the correct discussion if I am off base.
We are beta testing a new Dot Net Framework application that allows us to
upload documents of different file types for online storage with each of our
transactions. We can easily drag and drop email attachments to the new
application, but we cannot seem to drag and drop an email msg from Outlook.
I suspect this may have something to do with security. We are able to export...

i'm looking for a drag/drop fileupload tool/script for ASP.NET where the
user wont have to browse for the file, just drag them into a box and it
automatically handles it.
Anyone seen something like this around that is NOT java plug-in?

Hello, I was wondering if there is a way that I can enable my
application to accept a file such as a .pdf that when dropped onto the
document, it will upload the file to my database or a directory.
I am trying to make the app as user friendly as possable and would
just like the users to be able to drop the file into an area of the
screen and it would just accept the document and maybe prompt if there
is an existing file for that record...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
