I know a lot of people suffer this issue in the past...
but in my case it's really hard to reproduce the session timeout error.
everything works fine, the user can see the reports etc...
this can works fine for days.
and suddenly a user can receive the timeout error, and only when he try to
export the report! (in PDF or Excel...)
if the user purge his internet explorer cache and export again, then it's
ok.
I have changed the expiration in IIS and in the web.config to 1 hour.
But the user come back few days later and the error is raised again!
the control is displayed in a page which is in a popup page and through an
IFrame
Popuppage -HTML page -IFrame -ASPX page -Reportviewer
but also I have tried this:
Popuppage -HTML page -FrameSet -ASPX page -Reportviewer
I add a timestamp in the HTML page and the ASPX pages
/reports/viewreport.html ?t=<timestamp>
/reports/runreport.aspx? t=<timestamp>&o ther parameters...
So this insure that IE don't cache the pages, but the error still here!!!!!
I'm out of ideas and the error is really random and only when I export.
The SP1 of the reportviewer control is applied.
Thanks for your help if anybody know how to solve this.

Hi,
Could somebody please tell me how I check whether a session is dead based
soley on the Session.SessionID.
At present the timeout is set to 20 minutes in IIS, I am aware that I can
reset this on the page. However after 22 minutes, or some interval longer
than the session timeout, the Session.SessionID values is still availible.
What I want to achieve is this. There is a small section of my site that
must have an active session....

I have developed a web portal that uses ReportViewer web control to
connect to a remote SQL 2005 Report server and displays the reports on
the client side. The asp.net page has been coded to automatically
impersonate a specific user who has access to the report server so that
the customer don't get a pop-up asking for login credentials. Once the
report has been displayed in the Report viewer control, I am getting an
error when I click on...

I have a report that uses 2 datasets (2 tables on the report)
VS2005 correctly generates 2 ObjectDataSource objs when selecting the report
in the smart tag of the ReportViewer.
Depending on values the user enter, example start/end date, the report must
display only that data, so I have 2 classes that selects the data and return
the relevant data sets (set up in the TypeName and SelectMethod properties
of the ObjectDataSource objs). The...

I had this idea about preventing session fixation, and I'm wondering
what anyone else thinks about it. The idea is, essentially, don't
allow session ids that YOUR PHP didn't generate (and aren't yet
expired) to log in. That way if someone sticks a made-up session
ID on a URL, it won't matter, unless it happens to correspond to
an active session (guessing a user password is probably easier).
Is this already standard practice, new, or is...

I'm having issues with the reportviewer control. When viewing the regular
report it works just fine. However, when an export to PDF or Excel is
attempted and the load balancer sends the export request to another server I
get the following error:
ASP.NET session has expired
It looks like the download goes to a page
"Reserved.ReportViewerWebControl.axd" and tries to grab the report it just
built but can't find it to download it. We...

Hope someone can help.
We are trying to deploy an ASP.Net 2.0 application to a 3-node webfarm.
The application uses the ReportViewer control in local mode, hence we
need session state.
Because we dont wan't a single point of failure we use SQL Session
State.
I have setup a persistant sql session state database on a SQL 2000
server (this is a cluster in production, so no SPOF)
I have setup our web.config files to include;
" <sessionState...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
