I would like to ad a custom scroll bar control to my app that has a
customizable and "flat" look to it (not the normal VB look). Does anyone
have any ideas on where to find a good one?

Hello,
I have two scroll boxes on the same page. The first scroll box is good in IE
but the words will not wrap correctly in Firefox. The second scroll box is
good in all browsers.
You can see this on a test page at
http://www.usernomics.com/ergonomic-products-accessories5.html .
Can anyone see why the words will not wrap correctly in the first scroll box

Hi,
I want to build an expandable treeview. I saw some code on VB but I know
only C#
I plan for my class that each nodes has its own id (using span for example).
Into a single aspx page without any other control, it's very easy because I
play on URL and parameters and refresh my aspx.
But in a screen having 2 treeview, I have the param and other controls. How
can I organize my object in order to catch (meaning server side) wich node

Hi,
I am not a very experienced asp.net developer, but have a fair idea on how
it works & better idea on vb.net.
My requirement is to place an asp.net page on a website - which currently
has asp & html pages (not asp.net) - but this server has asp.net installed
on it (.NET run time files).
I can only access this server by uploading files to it via an ftp program.
i created a very simple asp.net project (hello world) - to display a...

Hi all,
I have a long web form on asp.net 2.0. When I go at the bottom and click on
submit, a postback occurs and if there are any validation errors (no
client-side checking being done), the page loads again, but this time the
scroll position is at the bottom. This is annoying, because the actual
validation error messages are on the top and the user cannot see them. Any
ideas? I have turned off maintainscrollbackpositiononpostback in the...

I have a long process I run that needs to be complete before the user can continue. I can change the cursor to an hourglass, but I want to update the Status Strip on the bottom during the process. I set the statusstrip label to "Downloading...", but it will not show up on the form. I need to display this message before it starts the process. I can put a thread.sleep for 1 second after I do the initial process, but that seems sloppy to me. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
