hey
I tried to make ASP.Net site with a datagrid. On the dg there is a button
columnt with command set to select. I put in the code some very simple
ItemCommandEvent. In the ... generated code there is this.dgMydata += ... so
it should be ok. But it's not. I tried to remove it and recreate everything
still nothing. In code there is of course the procedure that should be run.
What went wrong ?

I have a web form with a button and a placeholder, the button adds a user
control to the placeholder (and removes any existing controls). The user
control contains a single button. I have done all the usual stuff of
recreating the usercontrol in the Page Init event.

Hello All,
I am working to create a generic datagrid which accepts a
datasource(ListData - This is our own datatype) and depending on the calling
program customizes itself for sorting, paginantion or accepting the add and
remove item events.
What i am observing is that none of the vents are happening... (Sort, page,
or item). I am sure I am missing something basic here... Need help... Thanks

OK.. phew. Playing with data grids for the past few days has been fun and a
huge learning experience..
My problem. I have a requirement to display a gird with a gird. Within the
embedded grid, theres a requirement to show a drop down menu list (this is a
control I downloaded online) in one of the columns. For the purposes of this
question, Ive implemented the drop down menu as a drop down list instead.

For some reason I cannot get the OnSelectedIndexChanged event to fire for a
listbox I have on a page. I'm able to populate the listbox with data from a
stored procedure, but cannot trigger the event. I do have EnableViewState =
True for the listbox. I'm imagining (wanting) to populate the listbox named:
lstNames by using the DataValueField from lstDepartments.
It's quite apparent though that the event is not triggering as I can misname...

Hello,
I have a datagrid in an nested html table (one table inside of another
table) and have set the allowsSorting property to true. I've created in the
code-behind a method (Sub - I'm using VB.NET) that handles the SortCommand
event of the data grid. I've included the declaration of the Sub below.
EnableViewState is set to false; we reload the DataSource each time the page
posts.
Would anyone know why this DataGrid doesn't sort? ...
