Yes. Use a Template Column:

<asp:TemplateFi eld HeaderText="Emp loyeeA">
<ItemTemplate >
<%#eval("Employ eeA.LastName") %>
</ItemTemplate>
/asp:TemplateFie ld>

My page layout is like this: Page >DataList (databound using ObjectDataSource1 contained in page) >>Items >>>UserControl >>>>GridView (databound using another ObjectDataSource2 contained in UserControl) So I've basically got a GridView (wrapped in a UserControl), that is nested within a DataList. Representing a fairly simple relational data

I'm reposting this. I'm kinda in a bind untill i get this figured out, so if anyone has some input it would sure help me out. Ok, I’ve noticed a few gridview problems floating around the forum. Everyone wants to do a java confirmation box when a user clicks the delete button. Fair enough, basic user design rules state that you should always confirm a delete action. There is also a consensus that the best way to do this is a template...

I have an application that updates a strongly typed data set at run time. I'd like to dynamically create a table that connects to a run time data table. For displaying the data, this works well. I just set the GridView.DataSource once, and call DataBind(); I'd like to drive the application from the GridView control, by including command buttons that allow editing of the data. Starting out simple, I have a DataTable with a boolean...

Hello, I have a GridView in my page which is created in runtime. It works fine. My page has 2 Asp Buttons: - The HIDE button makes GridView.Visible = False; - The SHOW button makes GridView.Visible = True. I press HIDE and the GridView disappears as expected. After it I press SHOW and the GridView doesn't show.

Hi, I am trying to bind the selected value of a databound dropdown box in a databound gridview control to the value being displayed in the template column the dropdown box has been added to. Both the grid and the dropdown box are retrieving and displaying data fine, I just cant bind the two together. I followed the instructions in the help document called 'Walkthrough: Displaying a Drop-Down List While Editing in the GridView Web...

Hi - This could be a simple question. When I relate two tables in a datasetet, how do I get that relation to show up in a GridView? The only way I've done it, is to create a separate table in the dataset with a join query for the GetData() select method. I use ObjectDataStore to couple the GridView with the table adapter on the dataset. If I point the ODS at the child table, the GridView will bind to the "normal" select and I end up...

I have a gridview that I bind to a List(of Type) at runtime. Not using a datasource control. The gridview has a template column with an imagebutton whose commandname is set to 'Delete'. The footer template has an commandbutton with the commandname set to 'Insert'. Both buttons cause postback, however the RowCommand event does not fire. How can I get the rowcommand to fire?

I have a gridview with a template column containing an imagebutton to delete the row. Under some condition I don't want the row to be deleted, so would like to remove the button. In the RowDataBound event, I can find the button, but can't seem to remove it. The code below does not throw any exception, but the button is not removed. Protected Sub gv1_RowDataBound(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As

Hello everyone: I'm programming a custom GridView, adding column by column dynamically. Every column is a TemplateField, and I've made a class hierarchy for each template (TextColumnTemplate, DropDownListColumnTemplate, ButtonColumnTemplate), implementing ITemplate. The problem is in ButtonColumnTemplate. Here's is my code:

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
