Trusted locations

When I load a VS 2005 project from a network drive I get a dialog that
informs me that this "is not a trusted location".

How do I make it trusted?

Many thanks.

In Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Microsoft .NET Framework
Configuration.

Add a new Code Group under your Runtime Security Policy.

Here's a first attempt at trusted python. I would be grateful if any python gurus could point out the, no doubt obvious, flaws. I've stopped fileobject working with patches to fileobject and frameobject. All child frames of the first 'trusted' frame are trusted (checked using inspect.getouterframes(inspect.currentframe()). Trusted is a one-way switch. Is there anything I'm missing about the python frame structure? Is there any way of...

Hi All, I have a C# project that was created using VS.NET 2003. The project is on a shared network drive. When I open the project using VS.NET, I got the following warning message: "The project locatoin is not fully trusted by the .Net run time because it is either a network share or mapped to a network share not on the local machine. If the output path is under the project location, your code will not execute as fully trusted and you...

So we have a client who doesn't want to run a Service Level Account (either via an Application Pool or IIS impersonation) and we need to connect to a remote SQL Server instance w/ Read-Write permissions. They don't want to do it that way due to the maintenance issues with passwords in multiple locations. We're using an OLE connection to SQL server and currently have the username and password obfuscated (not strong encryption but not) in...

I have developed an inventory application with Access 2007 that I need to set up on 10 other PC's in our office (running XP). I loaded Access Runtime 2007 on the PC's but get the annoying trusted location warning... Used regedit to add all the registry keys for the location of the database which it resides in a shared folder on the file server (office uses workgroups to share files and printer).. It may just be a syntax problem with...

Hi all, Read the posts about the trust centre, has anyone else encountered this? I've set up a trusted location for my front end, and that works OK on my development folder. I changed the trust centre folder for the distributed copy. The copy and any copy on the user's machine ignores the trusted location and requires the user to enable the content. I've tried deleting and re-entering the trusted location, any suggestions?

Where is Mscorcfg.msc or caspol for vista running version 3.5 of the framework? If these are no longer available, what is the new procedure for setting trusted locations for .net or for vs2008 projects?

There are a few guarantees I exploit in the C Standard. For instance, I might write (unsigned)-1 to get the maximum value for an unsigned integer. Also, I might rely on things such as: memset(data,-1,sizeof data)

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
