ShowModalDialog () dopesnt support URL Anchors?

I am trying to build a simple help system. I cant seem to get the
ShowModalDialog to actually jump to the correct location.

Why doesn't the following open the page to correct position?
function JScriptHelpClic k() {
window.showModa lDialog('Requir ement_Help.aspx #Product',null, 'status:no;dial *
ogWidth:
370px;dialogHei ght:220px;dialo gHide:true;help :no;scroll:no') ;
}
In the Requirement_Hel p.aspx page I have:
<h3><a name="Product"> Product</a></h3>
<p>Select the product this requirement is intended to test.&nbsp; The
choices
are:</p>
I cant see why it wouldn't be supported....

Hi, I have experienced problems when dealing with nested anchors. I implemented some code to perform highlighting and specific anchors are used for the searched words. The problem is when the searched words are inside <a href> tags, the links are lost after putting my anchors. For example: <a class="Programa" href="#" OnClick="window.open('/something.tif');"

I have researched the issue of setting the title of a window created with a call to showModalDialog. I have found numerous articles, but nothing that answers my particular case (Code abbreviated for simplicity): in spawner.aspx - <script> window.showModalDialog('dialog.htm');

I want to call ShowModalDialog(...) from my C# code in the code behind page of my aspx page. I do not want to link this to a button, since I want to first do some checking myself before I call the showModalDialog. I also want to receive a result back from the ShowModalDialog when it is closed. My problems are currently these: (1) If I call the showModalDialog using RegisterClientScriptBlock, then I have no way of receiving a return...

I haven't used it in a while and thought I would check on it. Some say not to use ShowModalDialog (or at least they used to). But I just saw where Firefox has support for a similar type windows (window.dialog?). There was no firefox when I used ShowModalDialog last. And everyone said SMD was "evil." Should neither be used on either browser? Why is it supposedly bad to use a modal dialog box if that is what I need? Thanks.

Just want a verification of logic. This seems to work for IE and Firefox, but I wonder if it would be a problematic test in any of the other latest browsers? Is the use of the "window" object correct? I didn't think it would be document.showModalDialog. if(window.showModalDialog){ //do something } else {

Hi, I need to write a webpage which does the following: - open up a window and pass parameters into it (i.e. need to call showModalDialog() or showModelessDialog()) - contains jscript to support drag and drop objects from itself to the popup window - wait for user response in popup window and return results back to the parent window (i.e. calling showModalDialog() is preferred)

Hi all, I am opening a webform with showModalDialog. This appears to pop-up fine, though I have a problem... Inside the webform is a treeview control. When the treeview is populated, I am setting the treenode navigateurl to javascript:Click('test')

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
